This has to happen...

FCUK!

This has to happen when my semester break just started..

Excerpts from my mail:

-------------------------

Dear Customer,

Please accept our sincere apologies for the recent disruption to service. Due to a complete network failure at ****'s wholesale internet provider it has become necessary to source an alternate supplier. This failure is reportedly affecting in excess of 30,000 Australian internet subscribers and a large number of Internet Service Providers. Unfortunately no warning was made available to **** prior to recent events.

We are currently transferring all internet connections to ****** Telecom, who offer the following advantages;

* Large business with excellent reputation.
* Strong customer service focus, including telephone support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
* Competitive pricing, with a range of plans comparable to your current Curl service.
* Capacity to supply ****'s subscriber base and maintain or improve quality of service.

In an effort to compensate affected customers, **** is offering a payment to all customers that successfully transfer their service to ****** Telecom before October 1st 2006.

Compensation payments will be -

Blah blah blah, blah blah blah ....

Crazy Wind

Heh, a short lil'post

the weather seems to be very weird today. Right now, the wind's blowing at 40/50 km/h?
Not too sure bout the speed but it's enough to stop you right in your track if you try to go headlong into it.

Sign Boardsnearly torn from their mountings.
The windows rattling.
High pitch whine as the wind crosses every nook and cranny.

Wa piang eh, if you think you're light weight, i'd advise you not to come out.
Just in case you get blow away by the wind. lol.
Even the birds have difficulty flying. I've seen only 1 mynah flying and it was a short flight from tree to tree (10m apart only) haha.

New! I checked out the weather forecast and here's what it says:

State Summary:Today
A low off the central NSW coast will move slowly eastwards, with strong to gale force southerly winds over coastal parts of the state. On Friday a strong high should move into the Bight, and the low will move further east over the Tasman. As the high moves towards Tasmania a southeasterly airstream is expected to develop over the state on the weekend leading to increased shower activity in east. A few showers possible inland with an upper trough moving over western NSW

ZZZ.. They never wrote the speed.
But according to forecast for tomorrow:

Friday A few showers.
Fresh to strong S winds
Current Temperature: 14 C
Forecast Max: 18 C
Wind Direction & Speed: SW at 24 knots -> 44.448 km/h!
Humidity: 60%
Pressure: 1014.9 hPa
Warning: Warning for Sydney Coastal Waters. Gale warning for Sydney Enclosed Waters.

Hope i don't get blow away when i go to the city tomorrow. lol
